Blessing and guidance of God unto you the truthful ones. It has become imperative I write to you this my piece of mind, perhaps you may have a rethink about politics today.Every human being has a fertile land [the mind] in him which when not cultivated is taken over by weeds. We are blessed with dynamic heart so that we can ever remain active and progressive in our quest for the wisdom regarding our why of existence but unfortunately many have by this gift, chosen to be moving to and fro on the plain of canal desires gratification. What a misfortune.For the people in such a world, there are endless unguided desires within which they are entangled. Each seems promising but a person only becomes unfulfilled after attaining it. Then, comes the next and of course to be followed by the same result. The truth of the matter is that it is indeed a world wherein fulfillment in life does not exist. A careful analysis of the life of those in that world further confirms it.Do you mind providing candid answers to the following questions: WHAT IS THIS LIFE ALL ABOUT? WHERE ARE WE FROM? WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE? WHERE ARE WE HEADING TO? It is quite true that we woke up [from childhood to adulthood] to discover that we are already on a journey but not without adequate tools with which we can uncover our starting point, our mission, and destination. With the said tools, we have been empowered to clearly identify the right path towards our destination amidst the numerous paths before us.Every sane adult is endowed with the sense of reasoning and the power of will for a purpose. While the faculty of reasoning propels us at adulthood to ask the aforementioned questions, by the power of will, we are required to make a proper assessment of our life in seeking for the answers, thereby making a choice in life.In addition to our internal inclination for the truth –the quest of the heart, humankinds are at no time in the history completely left without a calling, counseling, and admonition from outside. The two together constitute the message from our creator to us. Yet many are heedless.While some are not attentive enough to be awaken by the call and the questions which emanate from within, some have taken to self deception using their power of will to deny the truth.The ‘ greatest discovery’ that the world is in existence by chance, the world being governed by systems which emanate from human unguided desires, and the thesis that might is right among others are the natural consequence of our wrong application of the willpower.Indeed, life has a meaning, it has a purpose. Try to recall what your aspirations were some years ago, some of which you have attained. I guess just like any other person, there was a time you were thinking of getting a job, acquiring certain amenities of life and of course living a comfortable life. While these things are not bad themselves, the satisfaction they provide is ephemeral and there is everything wrong in taking them as the goal in life.As human beings with material body we need to attend to our body materially and we need to be comfortable in this regard. But is quite pathetic that our unguided desires have deluded us to an extent that we cannot see life more than richness, fame and power among others. Politics as it is practiced in the world today is one of the means to attain the aforementioned ends. But in all honesty, it is a world of illusion.The only source of the enduring tranquility of heart which we so much crave for is the life of righteousness. This is possible by taking a decision to uncover the truth of life and consciously make effort to live by it. When one takes this decision, there are challenges that naturally follow. Herein lies the fruits of life. Since the world is based on truth, we can only experience happiness when in harmony with the truth which is by living a truthful life.We have a merciful Lord who is always ready to accept us once we are prepared to go back to Him.Brothers and sisters, there is more to life, there is fulfillment in life. All that is required is to sincerely submit your life to Him that is always there, able and willing to take charge of our affairs. That is Allah.May Allah guide us.
